I haven't been in the mood to concentrate on a book lately but I have been enjoying magazine reading. What are your favorite magazines?
My list includes:
Outdoor Photographer American Photo Juxtapoz Mojo Classic Rock American History Archaeology Entertainment Weekly Natural Health Cook's Illustrated
Odd combo, no?

Magazines are great. I like reading them while watching tv. SG named a number of my favs too. Since I am a science geek I would add Discover, Scientific American, and Science magazine to the list. Also Newsweek and the various videogaming magazines.

The only magazine that I read regularly is Time Magazine. Some 30 year ago my father decided to take out a subscription for me and ever since he has been renewing it annually, probably in the hope of turning me into a more informed, globally aware individual. However.... He recently decided to stop renewing my subscription (and his own) on the grounds that it no longer focuses on current affairs and devotes far too much space to technology, the environment, fashion and obscure individuals who rate a mention for some deed that they have carried out with the intention of making the world a slightly better (or worse) place than it already is (or was). These to my fathers mind, are not newsworthy topics. So.... in a couple of months from now I shall no longer be at the recieving end each week of the European edition of Time Magazine. I could of course continue to take out my own subscription but the truth is, I will quite happily revert to being an uninformed ignoramus.
so be it.
