I am curious what beer everyone prefers to drink at home? I am limiting the choices to something that is available year round. Yes, I like the seasonals too, but what is your old standby. For me it would be Great Lakes Brewing Company's Elliot Ness. It is a full bodied Vienna style lager. It has won 4 World Beer Gold Medals. It goes down smooth with a nice clean finish. Damn, now I am thirsty

I have to admit that I'm kind of boring and enjoy a nice tall, cold Foster's! It's particularly good in the oilcan variety. Malty and smooth, it's one of the best thirst quenchers around!

My steady brew is Mackeson XXX.
My favorite beer went out of business <the horror!> Watney's Stout.
I heard that beer was bad for your joystick and associated gears. Is that true Doc?
I recently had a fine Stu Bru. First homebrew I ever tasted. YUM!

Mackeson's is my favorite bottled stout to be sure. It's creamy, rich and slightly bitter and sweet all at the same time. Roasty goodness!! We buy it when we can. Kyuichi Sweet Lacto Stout is excellent as well if you can find it. It's a milk stout (ie, not vegan) but it's a creamy and delicious import from Japan. My fave on tap stout has to be Old Dominion Oak Barrel Stout from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It would be worth the 8 hour drive just to drink some! Luckily, the Brew Kettle down the road from us has it on tap. Show your love for stouts!!
