RJ and I went leaf peeping in the Cleveland MetroParks the other day and we discovered an area we'd never been before. The Bedford Reservation is so lovely, you'd think you were in the mountains of New York or New England rather right next to a major metropolis. We're so lucky to have our park system here, it's amazing. These were taken with the Canon Digital Rebel XT, slides to be forthcoming: The Gorge: Yellow leaves: Into the woods: Down the staircase: Bridal Veil Falls: The creek: Leaves resting on rocks: My love: Back up the trail:

Beautiful photos SG. Given these, why did you voice displeasure with the Canon in a previous post? MQ

Thanks, Max!
If you blow those pics up to a bigger size you can see that they're slightly out of focus. I think the lenses are having trouble marrying with the camera for some reason, I don't know if the sensors need to be cleaned or what. It's a wee bit frustrating.... the only really good thing about that camera is that I can see the results immediately rather than wait for the film to be processed.
I'm very curious as to how the slides turned out, I was shooting with an 81 B warming filter and I'd like to see if it really ramped up the color on the images. Shooting autumn colors can actually be quite difficult, you know what your eyes can see but it loses a lot in the translation to the camera. It helps to have a cloudy/overcast day and a warming filter -- those two things actually make what you see on a photo closer to what you see with your naked eye. Odd, I know. A polarizer can help as well.
How's the color by you?
