RJ Stubedoo, I read in Entertainment Weekly that they think Baltar might have a chip in his head and that's why he can see, interact with and be guided by the Cylon. What do you think? Hmmm..... Well, all I'll say is that there is an episode where they address that.

If you get the Season 1 DVD set, the first DVD is the same as the miniseries. I promise you, you will be hooked. As I wandered through Barnes and Noble this evening, they had television DVD Box Sets on sale, 2 for the price of 1. I broke down and purchased Season 1 of the new Battlestar Galactica. I look forward to getting hooked. MQ

OK, I've viewed the miniseries and the first episode. I am thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation Stubedoo, SG, and RJ. I seldom watch DVDs and seldom watch much on TV, but this is changing my view of how to spend some of my time.

Another convert! Welcome to the club MQ ;D
There is little worth watching on tv today, but once in awhile something special comes along. Battlestar Galactica is one of those shows.

So where is everyone in the series now? We're almost done with the 2.5 discs, can't wait until Season 3 ends on the telly so we can get that one, too!

I get Sci Fi channel so I've been watching them as they have come out. That said, I'm still going to buy the Season 3 discs. You can go to the BSG website and download hours of podcasts. There actually was a 3 hour podcast panel discussion that I actually listened to that was pretty interesting. Stu

Finished Season 1 while here in the home of Al Jazeera. I really enjoyed each episode. I look forward to returning Stateside so that I can pick up Season 2 and 2.5. Stubedoo - thanks for the suggestion. MQ

Well, for those who've been watching the series, it's been officially confirmed that the next season (however they count that) will be the last. As I read the announcement, there's another half of the current season to go. The management has said they want to end the series on their own terms, and let the story line follow its momentum instead of making into a "Lost in Space" sort of never-ending serial plotline.
It's an interesting sort of backpedal from their denial of Edward James Olmos's statement at a convention earlier this year of the same thing -- though at that time, apparently, the producers said only that a decision hadn't yet been made. Guess it has been, now, and the Admiral was right. Guess that means Starbuck will in fact be leading the fleet to Earth in the near future...

I know, it's damn depressing, isn't it??! <cry!> As soon as I get attached to a show it just seems to disappear. Now if only they would bring Firefly back I'd feel a whole lot better.....

I have been listening to some of the BSG podcasts. Ron Moore has said all along that he wanted to go for only one or at most two seasons. So I am not surprised. Stubedoo
