Many of you know that my library was flooded with sewage on June 22. We've been renovating this entire time and are now getting ready to reopen on Sunday (finally!). I thought I'd share a few pics I took the other day. Notice the empty area (several months ago) and the same area with desk, shelves, boxes, books, etc.: Click on View Pictures and then click on the thumbnails: share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AZNG7dizctGLj4

I took RJ for a visit there today, we finally received our new furniture and everything is in place. I literally got a tears in my eyes when I saw everything, I can't believe how fabulous it looks. Everything is so different, so mod, so beautiful... I never thought I'd be working in such a lovely environment. More photos to follow!!

Here's an article about the library opening from a local paper... So what did the mayor have to say? How was the grand re-opening? MQ

Here's an article about the library opening from a local paper... So what did the mayor have to say? How was the grand re-opening? MQ The Mayor was kind and thanked the staff for handling things so well. He loved the place (who wouldn't?). Lots of people commented on the better lighting and the wonderful woodwork and colors. We scored 1566 visitors in the four hours we were open, not bad.... A bunch of us celebrated by going out to dinner afterwards, where much wine was consumed and fun had. The next day I stayed in bed until 10:30 am and took an hour long afternoon nap. I needed it! More photos to follow soonish...
