For me it would be Great Lakes Brewing Company. It is always a joy to stop in for a few excellent beers. They compliment their very fine year round brews with some exceptional seasonals which makes regular visits to the pub a must.
And when friends from out of town visit we always make the effort to introduce them to this wonderful place. In fact this past Friday night Shutter Girl and I had the pleasure of bringing Stubedoo and Max Quad to the brewpub. We actually introduced MQ to Great Lakes on an earlier visit, but this was Stubedoo's first time. They had the chance to experience one of my favorite seasonals from Great Lakes. It is a belgian beer called Glockenspiel that reminds me of the banana flip snacks we enjoyed as kids. A fun night was had by all ;D

Friday evening was a wonderful one: great friends, great beer and tasty food. I showed restraint, only having one Glockenspiel. Our fellow GE members, however, seemed intent on sampling the full array of offered beers. ;D Seriously, the three of them are serious connoisseurs of fine beers, so such a sampling is expected: it is part of the joy of going to such a pub for people with discriminating palates. SG, RJ, Stubedoo - thanks for a great time and for being such wonderful friends. MQ

We enjoyed your company, Max, and thanks so much for dinner! Was also great to meet Stubedoo --- thanks for the Brew Kettle dinner! Looks like we owe some nice friends a good dinner. When I mentioned to our pal Poodle that we were drinking Glockenspiel he said that everytime he hears that word he thinks of Barriemore Barlow. I'm sorry that we missed the opportunity to toast one of our favorite drummers that evening! Speaking of great brewpubs.... I'd have to say that I really enjoyed the libations and the food at the Appalacian Brewing Co. in Gettysburg, PA. They offer some wonderful (and very professional tasting) brews along with great food. I had a veg sandwich that was out of this world. A nice atmosphere right next to such an historic area make this pub a winner! And speaking of Civil War sites.... There's a tiny (and I do mean tiny) brew pub in the historic area of Harper's Ferry that RJ and I happened on last fall. The name escapes me at the moment but I will say that it was the perfect place to get in out of the rain and enjoy a nice refreshment with my sweetheart. Sometimes the impromptu times are the best, are they not?

I wish I could remember the name of that brewpub in Harper's Ferry too. That was a fun time--what can beat having a good beer with someone special on vacation? Times like that last forever ;D
SG and I like to seek out new brewpubs or interesting bars whenever we are out. We have so many really good memories of places we have stopped. There are far too many names to list so let me just tip a good brew to all of them and to all we hope to enjoy in the future!
