I spent an hour or so on Halloween evening walking up and down Bourbon Street in the Big Easy. The costumes were wonderful - many men dressed as provocative women (were they really costumes?), many group costumes (Dorothy and other characters from the Wizard of Oz was a popular choice). My favorite? A man dressed as a spermatazoa with a sign reading Fallopian Swim Team. The highlight of the time spent (other than the few breasts seen - seeking beads thrown from above)? Witnessing a wonderfully outrageous wedding in the middle of Bourbon. The groom dressed as Frankenstein. The bride? You guessed it - the Bride of Frankenstein. It was a great scene to take in - with rings exchanged, first kiss given, and cheers by all.

Wow, what a memorable Halloween experience for you, MQ! I would have loved to have been a part of that!! We had about 110 costumed kiddies. Not bad considering we only had about 50 or so last year. I was still able to save a nice little collection of candy for me and RJ. What sort of impression did you get of the Big Easy's recovery effort, MQ? Are they getting back to 'normal'?
