Anyone into "Spirit"? Hard to believe that Cass will be 84 this May! If you are not familiar with these guys I urge you to check them out. I promise you will be glad that you did. [/color]

Hey Max.... Spirit had a distinct sound. Somewhat progressive, rock, and for the most part no radio play. They did have a couple of (accidental hits as Ian would say) which were "1984" "I Got A line On You" and Jay Ferguson's "Thunder Island".
Amazon has samples to listen to. I would recommend "Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus", "Spirit" or "The Best of Spirit" to introduce you to the band. I think you will find them way cool.

Didn't realize that was Spirit. Funny thing - I remember seeing all those early albums at the record store when I was a young 'un - never purchased, though they were known to me, as was Ed Cassidy's bald pate. MQ
