My calendar has quotes from Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I thought this one very astute:
"Each of us has in our mind a 'mental map.' We interpret everything we experience through these maps. We seldom question their accuracy; sometimes we are even unaware that we have them. We simply assume that the way we see things is the way things are or the way things should be."
