I think jellyfish are a delicacy in Japan, in other words... they eat those thigs over there! So the arrival of very large jelly-creatures to the shores of Japan should mark the begining of a cullinary feast!!
As for the whale floating up the Thames, I ddn't realize it had died (must have happpened in the last hours).. but with all the London sewage floating about in those waters, it wouldn't stand a chance of survival - just think of all the pub-waste that has flown into that river over the last couple of centuries.

Ok, where's Miles when you need him? Great connection to life in the real world, RJ. Yes, where is Miles and what would he say about it all? A shame to see that whale die. Since we are within a thread from the GE Book Club, just finishing The Conjurer's Bird. Has anyone in our small book circle started it yet? MQ

I think jellyfish are a delicacy in Japan, in other words... they eat those things over there! One horrible culinary experience (during an otherwise wonderful meal), was tasting a bit of jellyfish at a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco about a decade ago. Little taste, chewy...and utterly horrible. So, if the Japanese are happy to have gargantuan jellyfish to eat - fine with me. They can have my portion, too. MQ

Library reading has kept me busy the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow is my work book discussion (PS, I Love You by Cecelia Ahern--I do not recommend) which means I can start our book tomorrow! I am looking forward to reading it. Hopefully I can post my thoughts soon.
